Happy Valentine's! We have had so much fun in the past few weeks celebrating Valentine's Day! Mrs. Conner told us that we will be enjoying this fun holiday in our literacy and math centers and BOY was she right! We LOVED making sight words with heart candy, reading our books with light up roses and heart glasses, retelling Clifford's Valentine's book, graphing heart candy, and working with heart ten's frames! For Shared Reading, Mrs. Tallent read us TONS of Valentine's books and we worked on our recall of events from the stories! One day, Mrs. Conner let us make Valentine's folders to hold our cards that we made and passed out to each other! We loved receiving letters from our friends! We also have gotten REALLY good at All About books!! We love thinking of new things that we can be experts on. In science time, we started a new unit about properties and describing them to each other. We LOVED rotating in our science property centers and being able to talk to our friends about the objects we sorted and why. We hope you enjoy looking at all of our fun and learning we have been invested in for the month of February! We are so thankful and LOVE our school, our friends and our families! Check back in after all the ice and snow!
